Kruger2Canyons

Kruger2Canyons is a travel operator in the Lowveld region of South Africa. Because the company contracted to develop the new site could no longer deliver, one of the founders approached us to help with the migration of their old web site to a new web site. This project had some unique challenges.

The first challenge was that the founder of Kruger2Canyons is based in the United Kingdom. Communication was constrained by the fact that we could not sit down and have face to face meetings. However this was mitigated by regular Skype calls and email. The second challenge was that we did not develop the site from the ground up, but had to take over where someone else stopped. We had to do the best with the technologies chosen by someone else.

Great work was done before, so we set out to complete the most critical integrations which have not been completed. We set out a plan to fix the critical problems and complete the important features first. The blogging integration, integration with SafariNow and integration of the message board was completed early on. A mailing list was created using Mailman.

This is a ongoing project and we have touched on many other aspects such as DNS, Google Analytics & Adwords. Visit the web site at http://www.kruger2canyons.com
